The nature frame was a special gift for a scrapfriend overseas.

Just love these colored glass beads!

Glued some small beads on the chippies.

beautiful eyes

Hi all!

Made this page featuring the beautiful eyes of Yiscka, my youngest girl.

Painted and inked the background to match the gorgeous Maja Design papers.

Found some 2 toned raffia in my stash which was perfect for this page.

Hand made all the flowers.

As a thank you, I made her this mini album.

Used the Play Time collection papers from Pion Design.

reversed canvas

Hi all!

A reversed canvas today.

This was a gift for my daughter's friend who loves purple.

Instead of a birthday card, I made this mini canvas with her favorite color.

The chippies are from Dusty Attic.

Created the background by spraying two colors of glimmermist into the modeling paste.

Really like that effect.

New release Pion Design!

Hi all!

Today I want to show you the new release from Pion Design.

The new collection is called "Alma's Sewing Room" and it is just GORGEOUS!!!!

This is what we write about the papers:

In memory of our beloved Alma, Pion Design is now releasing the paper collection Alma's Sewing Room.
Back in the old days, our late relative Alma was known for her amazing ability to design and create the most fabulous dresses.  In her old house you could always find the most exquisite fabrics, laces and patterns.  To capture the essence of Alma and her passion for fashion and sewing, Pion Design wants to invite you to step into Alma's sewing room. This is an enchanting room, with the wallpapers brimming of roses and ornaments, and the shelves and drawers filled with buttons, needles, threads and lovely fabrics. The paper collection, Alma's Sewing Room, captures the true magic of everything created by her, and is a collection suitable for any occasion - just like the dresses made by Alma.
Alma's Sewing Room contains 12 double sided papers in the size 12x12" as well as 6x6" and is ready for shipment shortly.

And some other exciting news:

Pion has asked me if I would like to change the Guest designer position into a permanent one. Didn't have to think about that!

So now I'm a Design Team member for 2013! How awesome is that!!!

let's have some tea

Hi all!

Made this tea box and birthday cake for my co-worker's birthday.

Used the beautiful Grandma's schoolbook collection from Pion Design.

Added some embossing powder and some beads into wet fiber paste.

Yummy!!!

birthday cake

Hi all!

Made this birthday cake for Tessa, who turned 22 last monday.

Inside the cake are some sweet little "love you because..." notes.

Used some fiber paste to create the whipped cream look.

Added the small beads into the wet paste.

Once dried, everything got a touch of gesso.
