Another art journal page today.

No plan, just playing....

Nothing more relaxing than a little creativity ! :)

Started this page with modeling paste and a gorgeous stencil from Hobbyshop Sandra

The chipboard gears and circles are also from Hobbyshop Sandra

Glued them to the page and added a coat of gesso before all the paints.

Once dry, I applied some more gesso by using a sponge.

Added some sentiment from Tim Holtz and inked the edges.

two tags

Hi all!

I am back today with two tags in one of my favorites color combo.

Don't know why but turquoise makes me so happy! :)

I used two stencils from Hobbyshop Sandra and some modeling paste for the background.

Painted with some colors and a bit water to let the colors run.

Let it dry completely.

Used some gesso to tone it done a bit and did some stamping.

I used two colors and a bit darker one for some extra contrast.

Some chipboard from Scrapinic which I painted.

I printed the sentiment and inked the edges.

Made the two flowers with cotton thread.

Added those micro beads with gel medium.

All is touched with the gesso.

Also printed the sentiment and inked the edges.

Just love these stencils!

Time to create!

This lady loves to create and surrounds herself with lots of color,

metal embellishments, art stones, flowers and, why not, some sea shells! :)

 The metal embellishments and art stones are from Hobbyshop Sandra.

Started this lady with glueing all the metal embellishments, sea shells and the art stones.

Applied all the paints and let it dry.

All was given a coat of gesso to get a more soft look, which I love.

Added the flowers, again with a touch of gesso, and the Prima metal clock.

Wooden title, painted with gesso.

The beautiful metal flowers and frame are from Sandra.

The resin head is from Scrap-Unlimited.

The art stones, large and medium.

Some more metal.

Today a small photo of little me.

First I applied some paints with a palette knife.

Took a beautiful stencil from Hobbyshop Sandra 

and some modeling paste to create the background.

The gorgeous purple berries are from Scrap-Unlimited.

Painted the chipboard butterflies with a nice amount of gesso.

While still wet I took a tooth-pick and made the small circular figures.

Flower cluster, touched by some gesso.

Some white wooden beads as an extra touch.

They came from an old necklace.

Aren't these berries super gorgeous?!! It look as if they are dipped in micro beads....heeee just thinking.... that's an idea! LOL!

art journal page "love what you do"

Just love what I do!! 

Being creative, playing with paints, colors, stencils.....it's so relaxing! :)

Today another page in my art journal.

Started this page by painting with three colors.

Once dry, I applied some modeling paste by using three stencils, from Hobbyshop Sandra,

two stencils with the lines and a doily one.

I made the lines with a black and white marker.

The chipboard heart, which I painted with the purple paint, is also from Sandra.

Used some gesso with a spong to soften up the edges.

Gesso is from 13arts, which I absolutely love. 

It has a great white finish!

I also did some stitching.

Hello my creative friends!

Sounds familiar? You start working on a project and you just can't stop creating with 

that color combo or that specific stencil or embellishment.

This is just what happened last week! :)

It all started with one stencil and three colors.
And of course there had to be turquoise in it as well! 

Made a first page in my art journal from Finnabair and two tags.

The inside and first page of my art journal.

Created the texture with modeling paste and a stencil.

A little bit of stamping, some splatters and a touch with gesso.

The chipboard butterfly got a coat with some gesso as well.

And here are the tags:

Same stencil and same colors, sorry couldn't stop playing! :)

All of the flowers got a touch of the gesso.

Some micro beads, applied with gel medium.

The chipboard butterfly and stencil are from Sandra's Hobbyshop, 

an online store here in the Netherlands.

Hello everyone!

What's a better way to spend a dark,rainy and cold september day? 

Yep.....to make it a creative one!!

Made the front cover of my "Me Time" art journal. 

Started this journal with glueing some lace pieces.

Gave the rest of the journal some texture with modeling paste.

Applied all the paints and let dry completely.

Gave it a touch with gesso to tone it all done.

Made some splatters with black and pink paint.

A wooden piece 'time'.

Added some threads between the flowers.

A resin head in a painted resin frame.

A doily chipboard, painted with gesso and textured with a mix of gesso and small beads.

The lace pieces. 

Lots of layers to get a nice 3D effect.
