Family -2Cratfy Chipboard-

Here is my second DT project this month for 2Crafty Chipboard.
I wanted to show you my family.....my love....my everything! <3

As my girls get older they are choosing their own ways and one girl already has left the nest.
Vacation together therefor was a long time ago but finally we had the chance to go together again!
So wonderful to go with just the four of us. We had an amazing time!

                                                                            FAMILY

For this page I again used a thin canvas board, which holds the paints perfectly.
Created the background by adding some modeling paste using a palette knife.
Added the orange and green colors and made some splatters with the same paints.
Toned it done a bit with some gesso to give it a more softer look.
Just love this technique on my work and I use it almost every time!
Can't work without my gesso! LOL

The word "family" got a coat of gesso.
Extended the word by using a leave set chippie.

The flowers and the small wooden beads.

The small wooden beads are from an old necklace.

The Ava frame got a coat of gesso as well.
I like to use a small sponge to coat my chippies.
Simply cut a kitchen sponge in small pieces.

I made the thread flower and
also painted some green flowers and roses as I was short on my green ones.

Alarm clock -2Crafty Chipboard-

Today my first project for the month of February for 2Cratfy Chipboard.
This time I altered an alarm clock.
I love the fact that these chippies can be used for any project!

ALARM CLOCK

Started this alarm clock by removing all the inside and give everything a ferm coat with gesso.
Added some art stones in different sizes.
Used some colors of acrylic paints and gave it a more softer look with some gesso.

The lace border was perfect to go around my clock!
Simply painted that border with some gesso using a small sponge.

The foliage chipboard piece, also painted with some gesso.

A small Sharon butterfly and some threads for more texture.

Here you can see all the chippies: The lace border around the clock,
the foliages and the butterflies.

Added paper flowers and some large shiny beads as extra embellishments.

Photo of little me taken from our latest vacation to sunny Greece.

The lovely Sharon butterfly.

More than words challenge -Together-

Hello crafty friends!
Today on my blog my project for the More Than Words Challenge.
I was asked to be their guest designer this month and this is what I came up with:
As this is February and the month of love, I choose a photo of our walking boots.
Hubby and I just love to make long nature walks and really enjoy these moments together.
For this project I also used the gorgeous chippies from 2Crafty Chipboard.

TOGETHER

I started this project by using a stencil and modeling paste.
Added the paints and gave it a touch with gesso.
To complete the background I made some splatters.

Dress form -2crafty Chipboard-

Come and meet my 2Crafty Chipboard lady!
I have made a few dress forms over the years for my design teams
and thought it was time to made one for my current team!
For this project I used wool felt, tulle, lace, flowers and of course some lovely chippies.

DRESS FORM

I used wool felt which I needle felted on the dress form.
Loved working with the felt and I will be using it more, I'm sure!
All the chipboard were coated with gesso to let them be the star of this project.

I made the hat with the lacy doily and some foliage.

Added some of the felt and some tulle on the hat as well.

Needle felted the body and attached the pearls with small pins.

On the shoulder some foliage and around the neck some extra threads and some lace.

Flowers from Petaloo.

Side view with extra threads and lace.

Made a lace piece with a centre of the wool felt and a pearl in the centre.

The dream chippie.

The lace border was perfect for the bottom of the dress form.
