shadow box and card

Hi all!

 A shadow box and a card today.

I also have a tutorial to create a great texture for the doors and panels on the shadow box.

Let me start with the shadow box. 

Just love this Imaginarium chipboard piece!

It was so easy to put together and so much fun to embellish it!

Wanted to give this precious photo of my grandparents a special place.

Here are some details:

Found this cool bracelet at a local flea market.

This is the end result of the textured door.

Let me show you how I created this.

Super easy and so much fun!

This is what you need:

A small bowl

gesso

sand

brush

tooth pick

Let start to create!

Mix the sand with the gesso until you have a nice and firm substance.

Apply the mix with a brush on the door panels.

To give it an extra fun texture I used a tooth pic and made some circles in the paste. 

Did the same with the inside background panel.

How much fun is this?!

After drying it's ready to be misted,painted and inked.

For the doors I mixed some kitchen salt with the gesso.

This will give the doors a much smoother effect than the panels.

This also gives a great effect and after drying it's ready to be colored.

Hi all!

Another DT project with the new Pion design collection, Vintage Garden.

Most of the flowers were also made with these papers, except for the little roses.

Had a lot of fun making this little cutie!

Glued the papers with Mod Podge.

The dragonfly was first painted with gesso and a finishing coat with glimmer glaze.

two canvases

Hello everyone!

My blogpost for Imaginarium Designs today.

I have made two canvases, one reversed, 8x8" and a small one, 6x6".

The first one I started with tearing some paper and glueing them to the canvas with mod podge.

I painted the teared edges with a mix of gesso and sand.

Wanted it to give it a girly as well as a masculine look.

That's why I have a girly corner with flowers and bling and a corner 

with cogs and metal embellishments.

All the chipboard got a basic coat of gesso and some an extra layer of Glimmer Glaze.

Papers are from Prima, Engraver collection.

And here the mini canvas for my great hubby.

Wanted to highlight his love for playing the guitar and keyboard.

The background was also created with a mix of gesso and sand.
