tag xoxo

Hi all!
A short post today.
Was almost out of cards and tags so I decided to make some new ones.
This tag is made from a piece of packaging.
Cut out in the right shape and painted it with gesso and some crackle paste.
Added some washi tape and paint splatters before all the embellies.

Tore out some places of the packaging to create extra texture.

Put some cheesecloth under the flower cluster.

Some crackle paint.

Enjoy your day!

canvas layout "happy times"

Hi all!
This post is for Rob, my husband.
We absolutely love our long nature walks and esp. in the forest.
This photo of the two of us is special to me.....happy times together.....

Love to work with canvasses.
Perfect to hold all the mediums!
Once again I started this with preparing the background with modeling paste,
which I applied with a spatula.
Added the paints in brown and green nature colors.
Also added some paint splatters.
Was trying to get a bee, insect, butterfly nature scenery (if this is making any sense! hahaha).
The paints and embellies were given a final touch with gesso.

All was touched by the gesso.
Oh my....can't work without my gesso! :)

These round wooden pieces were perfect for this nature project.

A green and brown flower cluster.

Some wooden small beads from an old necklace.

Happy times together.

Some threads for extra texture.
In my imagination, some moss from the forest. :)

Some threads as a centerpiece for the flower together with a wooden piece.

Enjoy your day!

beach canvas

Hello everyone!

A 'big' post for you today, a canvas, 30x90cm!
Made this beach canvas with a photo from our last holiday.
Used a smaller canvas as a frame for the photo.

And here are some details:
Took of the linnen so that I only had the wooden frame.
Once stripped, I painted the frame with a dark brown color.
Added some crackle paint and let it dry.
Once dry I sanded some places to get this 'old' look.

A small burlap tag, painted with some gesso.

Cluster of shells, art stones, sea star, small roses and resin swirls.

Thought these swirls looked like waves and therefor perfect for this project.

Filled the glass bottle with some white sand.

Love these art stones, they are light and so easy to work with!

Made the background with modeling paste, paint and some crackle paste.

Enjoy your day!

canvas "love"

Hi all!
Haven't played in a challenge for a long time.
When I saw this challenge at Mixed Media place,
I completely fell for the pink and blue colors.
Decided to play along with this
canvas and a photo of my girl Yiscka.

Started with applying the modeling paste on the canvas.
Painted with the pink and blue colors.
Added some water to let them run a little.
Once dry I gave it all a touch with some gesso.
And some splashes of paint for a final touch.

Here is the link for this challenge if you want to play too:

And some details:

Some flowers from my stash and some cherry blossoms.
Added some wooden beads from an old necklace.

Paperclips for a fun detail.

Cut up the larger flowers and placed them on both sides of the frame.

Chipboard was painted and touched by some gesso.

Some threads for extra texture.

Lots of love!
